(Empowered at Every Age)

Early Life & Background

Hey, I’m Jessie — a certified personal trainer in Greenville, South Carolina, mom, crime junkie, and lifelong believer that women deserve to feel strong in every season of life.

I actually started out in a completely different world. I have a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice because I was fascinated by criminology and victim advocacy — basically, I just wanted to help people. That desire never went away, but life had other plans for how I’d do it.

Discovering Strength & Movement

In my twenties, I wasn’t exactly the picture of athleticism (unless you count hiking every now and then). It wasn’t until my late twenties that I fell in love with biking on our local trail, and by my thirties, I found group fitness. That’s when I discovered my passion for strength training for women.

A New Purpose After Motherhood

After my daughter was born, I was working a job that drained me, and I was struggling with depression and feeling disconnected from myself. I had a trainer at the time who helped me rediscover confidence and joy through movement — and it hit me: this was how I wanted to help people. Through personal training and women’s health coaching, I could empower others the same way training empowered me.

Coaching Women Through Every Season of Life

Fast forward to now, and I coach women through pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause — helping them find strength, stability, and a sense of self again. I design custom strength and resistance training programs that meet women where they are, because fitness should fit your real life, not the other way around.

Life Outside the Gym

These days, when I’m not coaching or lifting, you’ll find me outside. I love rucking and hiking, and I’m currently training for a 21-mile CureSearch charity hike in California to raise money for childhood cancer research. My knees aren’t thrilled about it, but my heart definitely is.

I still love a good true-crime podcast, a solid cup of coffee, and sarcastic humor. My brand, JL Fitness, is built on the belief that women are capable, strong, and worthy — not because of how they look, but because of how they live.
